determine whether the series is convergent or divergent using either the integral test or the comparison test:

1) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of (ne)^-n

2) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of ((cos^2)n)/(n^2 + 1)

3) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of 1/ sqrt of (n^2 + 1)

show work/explanation so i know how u got the answer..thanks

Use the integral test to determine whether the series is convergent or divergent:

1) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of 1/ 4th square root of n

2) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of 1/n^4

show steps plz

Sketch the region and find its area (if the area is finite)

S = { (x,y) / x > or equal to -2, 0 < or equal to y < or equal to e^(-x/2) }

Use the Comparison Theorem to determine whether the integral is divergent or convergent.

1) summation notation symbol (with n=1 on bottom and infinity on top) of x^n/3^n

2) summation notation symbol (with n=0 on bottom and infinity on top) of cos^nx/2^n

A machinist is required to manufacture a circular metal disk with area 1700 cm2.

(a) What radius produces such a disk?
I found the answer to be 23.26 cm.

(b) If the machinist is allowed an error tolerance of ±6 cm2 in the area of the disk, how close to the ideal radius in part (a) must the machinist control the radius?

what's the answer to b? thanks so much!

3 men stay in a hotel and the cost is £10 per night - total £30.

they settle the bill the next day paying £10 each again total £30. they leave the hotel and the owner likes the men so he gives the porter £5 and tells him to run after the men and give them the £5. the porter is slightly dishonest and keeps £2 for himself and gives each man £1 back.

now the men have paid £9 (£27) and the porter has £2 so the total is now £29 - where is the other £1.

ok so im doing linears, and like..how do u graph the equation?
i kno therez no graph here, so it would be hard to explain, but can u tell me the steps?
graphing:

y = x - 2
y = -x
y = 4x-1
y = -x+3

all of them seperately. if u want to explain one..thats fine too.
thanks
