how do you find area? also solve this Q if you can. a rectangular courtyard has a length of 21 ft. and an area of 294 sq. ft. what is the perimeter of the court yard?

area = l x b
294 = 21 x b
b = 14 ft

perimeter = 2(l+b)
=2(21+14)
=70 ft

Area = length * width
so the width = area/length
294/21=14

Perimeter = 2*length + 2*width
=2*21 + 2*14=70 feet

294 = 21 b where b is breadth in ft.
b = 294 / 21
b = 14 ft
Perimeter = P
P = 2 (21 + 14)
P = 70 ft

area = length * width so u do the inverse and get:
294/21 = 14
and perimeter = length + length + width + width. then u substitue in:
21+21+14+14
and get your answer:
70
