I dont really need the answers here but could someone please explain the process in which the question can be done.

let x be a number that is selected randomly from the closed interval from 0 to 1 [0,1]. use your intuition to sign values to:

a) P({x: 0 <= x <=1/3})
b) P({x: 1/3 <= x <=1})
c) P({x: x = 1/3})
d) P({x: 1/2 < x < 5})

Let D be a subset of R^n and suppose all the partial derivatives of f:D --> R exist and are bounded on D. Show that f is Lipschitz on D.

I could prove this for the real line, but got confused in this more general context.

Let X and Y be topological spaces. Suppose Y is Haursdorff and let f and g be continuous functions from X to Y. Suppose f and g agree on a subset D of X, dense in X. Show that f(x) = g(x) for every x in x, that is f = g.

I could prove this when X and Y are metric spaces, but here we have a general case.

x=3sin y
dx/dy in terms of y is: 3 cos y
hence show dy/dx= 1/(9-x^2)^1/2
and also find a function of x with this derivative?

im not sure how the answer of dy/dx is found though eliminating the trig expressions, logical steps with explanation would be great. thanks :)
