Find x and y. That's all I can remember right now. f(x) is the same as y. Rewrite it as y=mx+b form. So, y=-x^2+9

f ( x ) being a polynomial, its domain is R.

f ( x ) = y = 9 - x^2
=> y - 9 = - x^2

This is a parabola having vertex at the highest point ( 0, 9 ) and axis along the y-axis. Hence its range is ( - infinity, 9 ].

y has a max value of 9 and no minimum value so the range is (-infinity, 9]
