I need to understand how to find the difference from two points mathematically. I have this equation, but I'm not sure how to use it. It looks like this: (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2. Can some one help me with an example. On the reveiw it has one of these for (-2,3) (6,7). I have another question and you can go for that one too. Its in this section.

(4/5)^2+sin^2=1
16/25+sin^2=1
sin^2=9/25
sin=3/5, or pi/300

i know that's not right though because of the range, and also it just doesn't sound right...
