please explain what I have to do. If I have to use my calculator please tell me the keys you punched in. I have a TI-84plus which is very similar to the key strokes on the TI-83.
I need this answer/explanation soon since I have to turn in my work. Your help is greatly appreciated =)

I go to a party with a date. At this party there are four other couples. So there's 10 of us in total (5 couples). Hand shaking takes place such that nobody shakes hands with their date. After all this, I go around and ask everybody how many people they shook hands with - I get 9 different answers.

How many people did I shake hands with?

can any body tell me why the number 1 is not a prime number, the thing that defines a prime number is that is only devisable by itself, and the number 1.

now the number 1 conforms to both these points, so why is it not classed as a prime number ?
