How would you find the intervals on which f is increasing and decreasing, local maximums and minimums, the intervals of concavity, and inflection points for this equation: f(x)=x^2/x^2+3. This should be read as x squared over x squared plus 3.

Three guys check-into their last chance for a room for the night to attend a convention. The clerk tells them there is only one room left and it has twin beds but that he is willing to provide a roll-away bed, cost: Thirty dollars. They take it.
Later, the mgr sends bellman to room with $5.00 refund and apology for inconvenience.
Bellman pockets $2.00 (They stiffed him when checking-in!) thinking three into five doesn't compute anyway to ameliorate his conscience.
Each guy originally paid $10.00= $30.00. After refund $9.00 each =$27.00. Bellman got $2.00
$27.00 + $2.00 = $29.00...Where did the other dollar go that made the original transaction total $30.00?

If I have a wedge shape and want to use multiples of that shape to make a full circle with a hole in the center, is there a relatively easy formula for me to use to make or adjust the measurements. This will be done in fabric for a quilt. Please keep in mind that I am somewhat "mathematically challenged" so "K-I-S-S." My brain is already in overload--help!
