I would hope so, but it is very unlikely. That seems to be the American way...............different as always.
I would also be difficult to teach Americans metric conversion becuase they seem very hard headed when it comes to this type of thing. It'll only be when all other countries agree not to trade with the U.S will they sit down and decide on maybe changing their ways.
It'll be many miles before this happens...........hahaha sorry I mean 1.6km hahaha
Good question.

have self belief it or not, the united states followed the metric equipment in 1965. the project is, Congress by no skill funded the transition, nor did it make the transition needed. What the authorities wanted replaced into for marketplace forces to make the ameliorations for them. it really is a humorous project about people; on one aspect, people are always searching for the "New and more advantageous" in each thing. yet people also get stuck in ruts. The Imperial equipment is completely easily a kind of ruts (like the layout of the overseas money) that people are stuck in. yet worry not, ameliorations are occurring, inspite of the actuality that ever so slowly. One party is recent in packaging. in case you favor to purchase a huge field of tender drink you need to purchase a "2 Liter" bottle. people are slowly getting familiar with wondering in metric; and for my area, as this century progresses, you'll see further and further ameliorations. In some aspects of the rustic, street signs and indicators are already twin marked in miles and kilometers. that is purely a count of time.

Metrics is so much easier for me! Divide it by 10! Who ever can think of 7/32eds? I have a tougher time with kilometers, but could get use to it! Will we ever go to metrics? They have been trying since the 1970s, and it hasn't happened yet!
Do we have a national identity with inches, feet and miles? I guess we do!

Technicaly, they already have.

Imperial units {like Pounds, Inches, Gallons} are all now defined by SI units {killogram, meter, litre}. The old coutnerparts are gone. An inch used to be 3 barly grains in length. Of course, this doesn't work all the time. So now, an inch is defined by it's equivalent in meters.

Hopefully!! The metric system is so much easier. We have to learn it in school anyway, so might as well use it in the US. I'm sick of conversion.

They will, eventually.

BTW I will take this opportunity to express my love for the kilogram: it's just the right size, not too big, not too small.

Also, dividing the difference between water's melting point and boiling point into a hundred pieces was a wonderful idea.

Probably not. It doesn't matter either way to me cause I use both, but most people are stuck in their ways.

No. Nope. Not at all. Why should we? What's the big deal if we do or we don't?
