Reclaiming treated waste water, are there any plants in the USA that produces hydrogen from this wastewater, using the hydrogen to power the plant to make potable water. Essentially making water for free, the byproduct being heat and pure water.

Does anyone know how to make a homemade boat or any sites that help? i need to make a boat "model" that is about 1 ft by 1 ft by 8 inches for school and it has to be powered WITHOUT a motor or any electrical device....o and no CO2 cartridges either... i saw some balloon boats but my boat needs to go fast and stay in a straight line. the competition will be INDOORS so i cant use a sail...i was thinking of using a baking soda and vinegar to bottle up the gas and then have it shoot off...yea its pretty hard...thnx in advance!

OK, say you have people talking. You point a TV camera at them. Reflected light and sound waves go into the camera. The camera sends that info through wires (electrons?) to a transmitter, which converts that info into radio waves and sends out the radio wave to a TV antenna which catches the waves, changes them back to electrons through wires into your TV set which then turns the electrons into a picture on the screen and sound through the speakers? How do these electrons know how to make a picture? How do they know how to make the sounds that make the words you hear? It seems almost too complicated to even think about much less invent. Just take it a step at a time. How does it work that you point a TV camera at something, and then make it show up as a picture, even in the same room? Then how do you make that same picture (and sound) show up in a room thousands of miles away? You got to admit, it's pretty complicated. How doe it work? How do they do it? Who invented it

I posted here because I figured the most civils and architects would see it. The question is about salary. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I am about to receive an offer for a job as a Cost Estimator for a very large Tile, stone, and Terrazo contractor, the third largest in the U.S. It is an entry level job that I have no previous experience employment experience with, nor do I have any previous Engineering job experience. The basic job duties include:
reviewing bid offers from companies, researching the blueprints and specifications and standards, using computers to estimate the area layouts, quantities of tile or stone needed, cost of tile and stone as well as grout and other sealing materials, costs of labor, and the logistics of completing the project(how are we going to get the materials in/out of the building, where to store parts, etc..), Do any of you guys know cost estimators that do similar work, and what salary do they think would be appropriate for this job?

I want to get into microcontrollers but I don't know where to start. I've looked at a couple of different sites, but I can't choose. I want something that is pretty cheap and isn't too complicated. By not too complicated, I don't mean that it has to be so easy a 5 year old could use it, just as long as I am able to figure it out. It doesn't have to be very powerful, but it would be nice if it could be used with a lot of projects. Again, I emphasize that I don't have much money, so not too expensive. Thanks.

Determine by direct integration the centoid of area shown\
Okay what I did was I figured it was a quarter-semicircular minus a triangle. I start off by getting the area for the quarter shape intefral of y = (b*sqrt(1-(x^2/a^2)), then I get the X coordinate by doing the integral of xy and diving it by the area. Im stuck on the area and coordinates for the second shape tho what do i use??? the formula for the are is Integral of ydx but I aleady used it for the first shape, i dont udnertand please help =(
