Ranger makes a number of amateur band radios, they all have more RF power available than the CB models, so a CB to 10 meter conversion would really be a step down. Also the CB units are channelized, only 40 tuning positions total. For 10 meter work, you would need a radio that tunes in 100 Hz steps. While possible, it would be an incredibly ridiculous thing to try.
