Does the way you hang the toilet paper roll have any impact on how fast it is used?

That all depends on many factors.

I used to have a cat that liked to entertain herself at night, by unrolling the toilet paper... I'd find a big pile of TP on the floor every morning. Finally, I started taking it off the bottom with the paper coming off next to the wall and the roll taking up the slack when she would play with it and I stopped having a pile of paper on the floor every morning.

Other than that, it does seem that I tend to use more paper when it comes off the top rather than from under.

And THAT is my one and only anal retentive answer for the day... he,he,he.

I believe the determining factor is dispenser and tear factor. However. it's interesting to note men seem to put the roll on with paper over while women put it on paper under.

I've seen this work in different, countries and cultures. No I don't know why. Must be a subliminal issue.
