I thought of this quote to put on the T-shirt of the Dept of Chemical Engg., A.C.Tech.

The reference is to the quote " Some see the glass as half-full, some see it as half-empty ".

"Over-designed" is a chemical engineering term that means you design equipment that can take more load than you're going to put now, so that the capacity can be expanded later on.
A glass half-full is over-designed - to a chemical engineer.

All all hybrid car use same battery voltage? What is the battery voltage in general? Why the manufacture don't install solar panel on the top of the car to charge up the battery even the car is parking. The solar panel can be a thin and less wind resistance as possible or even stick at the top of the car, so no wind resistance. A solar panel, in general of that size, just cost around 300 to 400, compare to a 20k hybrid car, it is just a small cost.. But in long term, it generate lot of energy to charge up the car.

Do the National Security Agency, Federal Bourne Investigation or the Centeral Inteligence Agency keeps thier data in crystal? Is it true that the arrangement of atoms in the crystals enable it to store more important data compared to a computer?

The data are stored using holograms within the molecules of stable crystal. The data is read and write using laser. The symmetrically arranged atoms could store enormous data in it.

Are thoese facts true? Please tell me more about it. thanks.

I have noticed a spherical piece of equipment that is attached to the upper lightning arrestor lines of 3-phase transmission line systems. Usually, they are orange and attached directly to the lightning arrestor lines (the line passes directly through the sphere).

*** So, what are these things? How do they work?

Sorry, if I can't think of a formal name for these devices, but I do want to learn more about them (and as much as I can about power systems in general). Thanks!
