I was working on my house and found an old rock with a very clear image of a fossil, (fish like) about 4 inches long. I hate to just throw it away. Someone might really be into this type of history. What can I do with it? I live in southwest Los Angeles area. Thank you.

I need to get a granite headstone for a family member. I am particularly interested in the black ones.
My concern is how much the color will fade over time. Is it better to get a lighter color so it attracts less sunlight?

____ are unstable at surface temperatures and break down into clay.

I cant find the answer in any of my notes or the website for the course =(
I was thinking either 'igneous' or 'metamorphic' or I'm not sure if the teacher wanted something more like 'olivine' or something like that.

ideas??
thanks!
