O.K. I have a project. I need to order some rock but the specifications calls for coarse aggregate rock (VDOT #1). I know VDOT stands for Virginia Department of Transportation but how and where do I find how big the rock is? I know very state has their own DOT but do they each have their own rock specification or do they each use a general type? Help!!!

I'm doing a project for a class where we are to create a "metaphor" for geologic time. It can take any form, from an artpiece to a poster, etc... It is required that we properly scale the timeline. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I should do for the project. The more creative, the better! Thank you!

I am not trying to get more people to blindly insult me if you don't believe this or if it goes against your religion, what ever. I don't care. I just want to know the evidence supporting this principle since we are learning it in Science.
