The site and surrounding areas are generally flat and is in close proximity to marshland and or wetlands. Diamondhead lies within the Coastal Deposits. Outcrops consist mainly of silts, gravels, and sands.

Not a volcano. It's pretty flat. I think it was formed just as any other place was formed.
