The water table just means the top limit of the groundwater. The aquifer is the zone of saturation. The aquifer has the groundwater in it.

The layer of bedrock is usually under the aquifer (unless it's all cracked up and is part of the aquifer).

well it depends ... The water table or phreatic surface is the surface where the water pressure is equal to atmospheric pressure. The water table is also often erroneously defined as the surface that separates the phreatic from the vadose zone, below which all rocks are saturated with water.
