In the reaction barium chloride plus potassium chromate yields potassium chloride and barium chromate, 100 grams of barium chloride is mixed with 1050 grams of water to make a barium chloride solution, which has a volume exactly 1000 mL. It is titrated with a solution of 100 grams of potassium chromate dissolved in sufficient water to make exactly 5000 mL of solution.

Calculate the following:
A.) The mass percent of the barium chloride.
B.) The molarity of the potassium chromate solution.
C.) The volume of potassium chromate solution required to react with all the barium chloride solution.
D.) If 200 gramso f barium chloride were dissolved in sufficient water to make 2 liters, how many grams of potassium chromate would be required to react completely with all the barium chloride?

Benzene is an organic solvent with the formula, C6H6. It boils at 80.1 C and melts at 5.5 C. Benzene's density is 0.88 g/ml, its heat of vaporization is 20.0 KJoules per mole, its heat of fusion is 10.0 KJoules per mole, its heat capacity is 0.50 KJoules per mole-degree C for liquid benzene, 0.25 KJoules per mole-degree C for solid benzene, and 0.125 KJoules per mole-degree C for gaseous benzene.

Calculate the following:
A.) The energy required to heat 390 gramsof benzene from 300 Celsius to 600 Celsius.
B.) The energy required to cool 3.90 micrograms of benzene from 60 Celsius to 20 Celsius.
C.) The energy removed to heat 39 kilograms of benzene from -100 Celsius to -50 Celsius.
D.) The volume occupied by 1 kilomole of liquid benzene at 25 Celsius and the volume occupied by 1 nanomole of benzene as a vapor at STP (assume an ideal gas).

-The sea water began to boil at 106 degress C..why do u think it boil at that point?

-When silver nitrate was added to the sea water,it got warm and a white precipitate was formed...why did it get warm and form a white precipitate?

-When silver nitrate was added to the distilled water, the silver nitrate dissolved partly and shiny particles were seen in the solution....why do u think shiny particles were seen in the solution after been dissolved?

I wana make a super soaker flamethrower but will it explode?

I understand that gas needs oxygen to ignite, a super soaker flamethrower has a small barrel with no oxygen in it when its being fired. But I also watch movies...

In movies you see a trail of gas leading to a whole bunch of gas barrels and when the flame reaches the barrels they all explode violently. Wouln't you need oxygen in the barrels in order for the fuel to ignite?

Or does gasoline combust at a certain temperature? If so would and open flame be strong enough to set off a full gas container?

And if gas does combust at a certain temp. then what are the combustion temperatures of other combustibles? Prefferably ones usable in a super soaker flamethrower....

P.S. if you do decide to make a flamethrower too then dont use paint thinner or anthing that dissovles other things like paint. they will melt the inner working of the gun.
