2H2S plus 3O2 = 2SO2 plus 2H2O

at constant temperature and pressure through all the process

moles of H2S = moles of SO2 then Volume of H2S = Vol SO2 = 14.2 L

moles of O2 = 3/2 moles of SO2 then Volume of O2 = 3/2 vol SO2 = 21.3

It is very important to make the assumption of constant temperature and pressure, otherwise, you can not make any analyses. This reaction is very exothermic so in real life the resulting gas from the reaction would be very hot, and volumes will vary. I have seen this reaction happening. Nothing I can recommend.

H2S + O2 ---> SO2 + H2

vol ratio of gases = mol ration of gases

SO2:O2:H2S = 1:1:1
thus vol of h2S needed =14.2L
vol of O2 =14.2 L
