A 500 mg of arabinose is rehydrated with 4 ml of water.
Then all of the arabinose is added to 150 ml of another media.
I thought the answer was 500 mg/(150 ml + 4ml)=3.25 mg/ml
My teacher says the answer is 125mg/150ml= .833 mg/m which can only be true if 1 ml of the original solution was to the added to 149 ml of media?

I have a lab to do. In order to complete the lab I need to know this. In my expt. I had to melt wax and then let it form a ball on 3 different wires of 3 different thicknesses to find out which conducts heat faster. Let the wax dry, then, put 1 end of the wire over a fire. During this, I observed all the wires. They all charred after a layer of some copper type coating came off. I was able to wipe it off with my fingures, but i don`t know why that happened.

the experiment was adding 1M NH4Cl to a 0.1M NH4OH soln which had phenolphthalein indicator in it. The solution went from pink to colorless, indicating that [NH4+] went up, [OH-] decreased.

then, we added some concentrated 6M NH4OH, which ions' concentration are added to the equilibirum? both [Nh4+] and [OH-]? and how does the change in [OH-] affect [H3O+]?

Thank you!

Ok so the problems are

add coeficients
Fe + HC2H3O2 -> Fe(C2H3O2)3 + H2

supply correct products and balance adding coefficients
Al + Pb(No3)2 ->
Mg + H3P04 ->
K + HOH ->
Cl2 + CaI2 ->

write correct formulas to show reactants and products then balance

sodium + water -> sodium hydroxide + hydrogen

aluminum + copper (II) sulfate -> aluminum sulfate + copper
