Hi everyone :),
I have one question in my chemistry assignment that's giving me hard time, if you know how to answer it, please reply. Here it is:
"Suggest the element (or group of the elements) that could be the central atom, X, in: X2S, nonlinear molecule."
My problem is how can you have 2 identical atoms as the central atoms in a molecule of 3 atoms! Shouldn't S (sulfur) be the central atom? Anyway, sulfur is not in this formual, but X is! So what element(s) could X be?

Please answer today! If not, then don't waste your time :)

Thanks in advance!

25cm3 of sodium hydroxide react with 17cm3 of 0.1M of H2SO4.
Calculate the molarity of the sodium hydroxide.
The balanced equation is 2NaOH + H2SO4 ---->Na2SO4 + 2H2O.
so the ratio of the ............. NAOH to H2SO4 is 2:1 :D

A] When resonably dilute HCl and AgNO3 solutions are mixed , a white AgCl precipitate forms, with some heat involved. When a Na2S2O3 solution is added to this reaction mixture, the white precipitate disappears upon stirring.

Is this possible... would you defend it or Refute it? Why?

B] Some chemist say that the AgCl in (A) dissolves. Others say that AgCl is prevented from precipotating further by the prescence of S2O3 (-2) ion.

I bought a chain that looks and tests gold but was told its not real.Its marked 14k gold and tests like gold on an acid tester but its not real .Its also the same color as gold throughout the entire piece.Its not plated,the metal actually tests even if you file into it and it is a yellow/gold colored metal.
