In my chemistry class we did a density lab, calculating mass and volume of a certain colored cylinder. In our report, we have to discuss one source of error not relating to human error or equipment error. I was thinking that either barometric pressure or altitude might affect the outcome, but I'm not really sure what else could have had an affect. Any help would be much appreciated!

in the above question i have used 2H+ to show a single positive H ion and Mg++ to show dipositive Mg ion.the other + signs are for showing the reaction. in the H2 2 has to be written down but i couldn't do it in the computer. the answer says it is 50 cm cube as 1 mole of Mg reacts with 500 cm cube of 4M HCL. but there is no HCL in the equation, so how is this statement true and how was 50 cm cube derived?

For the past months now, I have been getting myself into alot of space topics. I really am starting to find this entire topic very intresting. I started from scratch, with our planets, solar system, galaxies, and I kept moving on..

Where am I now? Well, I just finshed reading about the cosmic microwave background radiation, which seems to be really amazing, considering its existent everywhere in our universe. I have also learnt about how the universe expanding, with the evidence that stars around us appear red shifted.

I never thought I would dig deeper than this, but I am, and now I want to enter this field.

Anyway, yea so I am investigating problems with the Big Bang, and there seems to be three really big ones, that I dont seem to understand.

1.) Horizon Problem
2.) Flatness Problem
3.) Density Flucation Problem

Anyone here have any knowledge on these topics?

Thanks for reading.

In February 2006 researchers.reported at the American Society for Microbiology, that a solution of vinegar and household bleach could be used, not just as a powerful disinfectant, but as a very effect sterilizing agent against bacterial spoors dried onto test surfaces. According to the researchers, " Bacterial spoors dried onto surfaces are considered the most resistant to disinfectants of all microbes, and a disinfectant that can kill such spoors would be expected to also kill all types of vegetative bacteria, fungi, mycrobacteria (TB), and viruses." They found that the vinegar bleach solution sterilized all of the surfaces tested within 20 minutes, while a diluted bleach solution alone was only effective in killing all of the spoors on 2.5 percent of the surfaces after 20 minutes.

OK so it's effective and safe to use on counters & other surfaces, but is it safe to use on eating utensils as well?

How much can u tell about each element just from using the periodic table? and how?
Like how the groups tell u how many electrons there are. and the numbers on the left hand side have something to do with the period number or number of shells.

And if u know any helpful sites.
Thanks
