About 2 years ago in late winter I cut off a 30 cm long Grape Wine
and a 30 cm long twig of a Fig tree. Then I planted both of in fertile soil. Both of those trees are growing now.
Can anyone tell me can you propagate the following trees by using the same method that is by cutting a twig and planting it in the soil;
Apple, Pear, Cherry, Mullberry, Quince, Plum, Chestnut and Walnut.

I was involved in project that deals with energy drink for sports and i had added "piper sarmentosum" as they were rather rare and very nutritionous. However, I've been searching high and low for the information about this plant but couldn't seem to get much...or i can even say nothing. If anyone is doing research or even have information on this particular plant..please kindly guide me to the info ( journals, metabolites, functions, etc). PLEASE HELP...THANKS SO MUCH !!

i can't really understand parthenocarpy. How do these kind of fruits develop, and how could they reproduce without seeds. I don't understand the concept of spores either. So far, they're the only structures I know for asexual reproduction. Does this relate to parthenocarpy? Please, help. Thank you very much... I will appreciate if you give an answer and an explanation why, of course.

To start a new plant, pollen from one flower has to enter an ovule in another flower. So pollen from the stamens of one flower has to travel through the air to the stigma of another flower. Sometimes wind blows the pollen from one flower to another. Sometimes bees or other insects carry the pollen on their bodies. This is why flowers have bright colours and a nice smell– to attract insects. When a pollen grain lands on the stigma, it goes down a tube called the style and lands in the ovule. The pollen cell combines with the ovule which grows into a new seed. After this the stamens and petals dry up and fall off because they are no longer needed.

i am especially stuck on the terms ovary and ovule. have i used them correctly?

My banana plant and cannas have been damaged by unusually cold weather this winter causing their leaves to turn brown and wilt. I have since covered the plants with sheets to prevent further damage. In the meantime, should I cut the leaves that have turned brown (almost all) or leave them until it warms up?
