Seriously though. This is not a joke. A friend of mine is rather overweight, and she's going snowboarding, and swears that she will hurt less than me. What are you thoughts?

I've always wondered why each race has unique features from the neck up. I know that it's genetic, just want to know why these features would be helpful for each race. Oh yea, and why are there different colors of skin, I know it's because of the type of pigment, but why are people white, black, brown, and yellow. I understand each race originated from different regions on the earth, I'm guessing the differences is directly related. Educated and funny answers only please :D.

what isn't true concerning life cycle of a cell

during G1 phase, the cell's protein supply increases

The G2 phase is immediately followed by metaphase. (I know it is followed by M phase but is this the same as metaphase?)

The eyes might let light into the skull; the skin is porous and may also allow light to pass through. There is a possibility we are light in some places dark in others; anyone know for sure?

I have this Biology question and I thought that only the "sense" strand is used for the production of proteins. Is it a trick question?

Here is the question in its original context:
"4. Use the following "nonsense" strand of DNA and determine the proteins that would be produced by this "gene"."

Do you know by which process do fruits "acquire" fructose? I am asking becasue I have recently discovered that, as well as lactose-intolerant, I am also fructose-intolerant (well, they call it malabsorbtion, but it is the same stuff!). I was trying to stay away from fruits and have more vegs, when I discovered that some of those, also contain fructose because they could be considered fruits.... Any help would be welcome, as the reaction I get is pretty bad!
Also, if you happen to know where I can find a table with the fructose content in food, I would be most grateful!

Thanks x

I really don't think it is so stupid.. or unscientific to believe that this incredible world is designed.
Why can't scientists give everyone else a break in light of how often THEY change THEIR minds.
Science used to teach the universe was a steady state. Now they say its the Big Bang.
Science used to say life was composed of 'simple cells' now they say single cells and they admit things are more complicated than even THEY can understand.
Science says that light speed is a constant but now they are saying it might have varied.
Mathemeticians in one science say Codes cannot just happen, evolutionists keep trying to say DNA somehow plopped out of primordial soup.

THe list goes on an AWEFUL long time.
Don't get me wrong. I am not knocking science. It can do great things. NO QUESTION. But so do people of simple faith and intelligence.
So does any one agree that these all knowing scientists should give us little knowing people a break for the common sense that life is designed?
