Its initial breakup split it into Laurasia in the North and Gondwanaland in the South, after the initial rift in the Tethys Ocean.

Actually when Pangea first broke up it was into TWO parts - Laurasia and Gandwanaland this was 180 million years ago.
It was about 135 million years ago when those two giant continents split into the 7 we know.
