1. Besides neck length in giraffes, apply a Lamarckian explanation to another example of how structures in organisms change through time.

Can anyone think of any other examples? My book doesn't have anything, I can't think of any, and I still can't find anything online. I would really appreciate it! Thank You! = )

We all know that during either mitosis (the production of 2daughter cells with the same diploid state of the parent cell) or meiosis ( the production of daubghter cells with half the chromosomalnuber that of the parent cell) of the cell cycle, the chromosomes before anaphase lined up themselves at the equitorial plane of the cell. At this point what is really going on inbetween centromeres before proanaphase?

I know we all have to age. I was thinking about how oxygen is a poison to us- as we're using so much energy to remove it somehow..maybe nonrobots can help us in the future repairing our damaged tissues...maybe regenerative medicine or...maybe downloading our concious in ~50 yrs will help us stay on earth a while longer... I just wanna know what you think about it, any opinions/comments/answers in general...cause 100 years to me..is a very short time...It'd be really good if we were able to be young forever.... It is believed that variation is the raw materials for adaptation, natural selection, and evolution of species. Genetically, variation could be traced during the chromosomal distribution in meiosis. So now, what is the correlation of chromosomal mutation to evolution of species, and the erradication of unfit organisms?

He was using the blood samples of males (only) to locate DNA markers to prove that the African nomads had probably crossed the land mass from China and ended up in Arizona/New Mexico. Several(?) Navajo's DNA markers matched the males in the original village sampled. There was a special tv program relative to his study. Does anyone remember the DRs name or the tv special title? PBS or Discovery? Really appreciate any help here. Thanx

Let my lay my cards on the table. If I were to give an award for the single best idea anyone has ever had, I’d give it to Darwin, ahead of Newton and Einstein and everyone else. In a single stroke, the idea of evolution by natural selection unifies the realm of life, meaning, and purpose with the realm of space and time, cause and effect, mechanism and physical law. But it is not just a wonderful scientific idea. It is a dangerous idea.”

"For this assignment, you will be working individually to assemble a step-by-step model of the cell cycle on a poster. The model will have different materials to represent the different parts of the cell. Examples of materials that you can use are: pasta shapes, sweing materials, carpentry items, desk "junk", ect. These models should not have edible materials on them! All items representing parts should belong to the same "family". You need t make sure that you use small items that will stay glued to your poster."

idk what to use!
