Why do plant cells have hundreds more golgi apparatus than animal cells?

good question. i looked it up. all i found was that animal cells tend to have fewer and larger golgi apparatus and plant cells can contain as many as several hundred smaller versions. i guess size has more to do with it. other than that...you got me. i should look deeper into this since i am a biology major, but its only my second semester...give me some time. lol
