I'm studying about ecosystem, and it seems as if everything that an organism does if just for one purpose which is to reproduce... My Biology book says that the reason why anyone would save anyone is so that the people can reproduce -_-.................. so that their species won't run out. and the reason why people would take risk to save someone else is so that that person may reproduce (my biology book also says that a person is more likely to save a relative than a friend because relatives share similar DNA as them and that saving them would help spread more similar DNA and they call this "altruism" ).........

I know sometimes meiosis can occur in error, i.e. some cells are left with an extra chromosome which can lead to disorders such as down syndrome. Prior to meiosis, however, animal cells undergo mitosis and cytokinesis. Mitosis occurs when the nucleus splits, and cytokinesis occurs when the cytoplasm, or essentially the rest of the cell splits. It appears to be generally accepted that the 2 occur in sync. But I wonder if mitosis could just occur without cytokinesis occuring? Like could the nucleus just spit into 2 (mitosis), but the cytoplasm still remain intact, resulting in a single cell with 2 nuclei? And if so what would be the results of such an occurence?

If I had a memory of an event for example, would that be imprinted on the surface/inside of my brain tissue? If you could open up my brain and there was a scanner that could decode the information (like on a computer memory chip) could a computer linked up to the scanner pick up the memory?
