I'm doing if guys or girls have better short-term memory. I need some good sources and if you have any ideas of how to test the short-term memory.

Turn over a sheet of paper for 60 seconds - one that has many pictures of things on it, and then have each man/woman write down from memory as many things as they can that they saw. You could also recite a list of 50 words (or however many) and then have them write down as many as they remember. Or you could tell a story and then ask questions about that.

Well you need to cover a wide variety of things when doing this. Depending on how excited the person is about what you are having them memorize will determine their ability to recall the information. Lets say you read a romance story and asked questions to see what people remembered compared to a hunting adventure or something. I also think you should use everyday situations in your testing. Lets say you test to see how well a guy and a girl remember something that their parents told them before they left for school. Make sure you use a wide variety of situations. Its all going to vary depending on what they are supposed to remember, who told them, who they were informed, how important it is, and the effects if they do forget.
I hope I didn't make things to difficult, just some things to think about.

Good Luck!!!

you could do it with some flash cards, make them answer the arithmetic equation in your flash cards, then later ask them how many could they remember, ask them what are the numbers...
That way their mind could be hussled and you could identify how strong their memories are, cause its very hard when you're dealing with numbers...
