They are not possible at this time.
There is no microbe to convert sea water to drinking water as salt will be toxic to them. Best to precipitate the salt or distill the sea water for drinking. Ionic ultrafiltrates will work, too.
Electricity can also kill microbes, especially at levels useful to man.

There hundreds of desalination plants all around Middle East read a lot about them and their know-how and technology, but never heard of microbes and production of electricity

Sea water can be converted into drinking water by ion exchange--NOT microbes!

Water desalination plants do exist, of course - but I'm pretty sure that no microbial methods are involved at present.

It may be possible in future, though. Who knows?

he would have made a pool interior the ark to hold all the inland water and stuff. edit: yet differently, all of those creatures would have died and basically been recreated after the flood. the flowers did no longer proceed to exist, they have been overwhelmed into coal. and the piece of plant that the dove introduced back replaced into from a newly created plant.

sea water can be chanfe into drinking water using osmosis process.

MAYBE it could be done by using halogens bacteria
