Solar system is on the edge of Milky way which contains a large amount of stars, especially in the centre of the galaxy. But why when I look at the sky it's so empty? All I could see are just the Moon,Venus, Mars, and some small blinks.

About 10 years ago, Long Island, New York, Heckscher park. I was at an outdoor concert and it was dusk. A plane would fly over about every 10 minutes from the nearby airport. I looked up once and there were red light balls zipping around it. No clouds. I think that they were Foo Fighters. When I told my friends next to me what I saw they laughed. I told them to wait and see when the next plane flies over. Sure enough, they were back. Tell me your UFO stories.

The Earth has the gravity of 9.8 m/s2 . The moon has 6 times less than the Earth has. Now, I just want to know whether the gravity changes with respect to the increase in height or will it just change depending upon the radius of the planet or say it any object that has very high mass. Should the object be of definite shape or not ?

Follow my logic: the Universe is infinite. Time is infinite. With infinite time, and infinite space, that means an infinite number of other life forms out there. If you say the Universe isn't infinite, that means it ends "somewhere". An edge. Great. What's on the other side? If you say time had to begin some time. OK, fine. What was going on before time began?

Don't give me Big Bang theories. How friggin stupid. A big egg of stuff that exploded. Wow, believeing in that is just as much a religion as Christianity. Don't give me speed of light scenarios. Our knowledge means absolutely nothing. A few hundred years ago we thought the Earth was flat and we were wiping our bottoms with our left hands, and burning witches.

I just cannot imagine that in all the universe, we're it. As Jodi Foster put it "seems like a big waste of space."

The pictures and facts are kind of fishy at times. If we landed on the moon 30 years ago, why cant we now. The technology of today is much more advance than it was back then.

I am doing a project on how the moon affects the Earth. I know tides is one, but is there anything else? (it doesn't have to be major, as long as it's somewhat significant). Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!
