If you identify three points in space and travel at twice the speed of time will you end up at a previous time and location? If we are traveling at 1x the speed of time then, 2x the speed of time would allow us to move to a previous point in space at an earlier date?

The stars we see are lightyears away, or truly where they were millions of years ago. If we could figure out earth's position in the universe millions of years ago and focus a telescope on that area, could we not "see" earth as it was? If the telescope were powerful enough, could we not witness stages of evolution? If we can't travel through time, perhaps we can still observe the past and future by peering through space.

If for example you are flying from East Afica to New York, non stop, is the time taken while flying at the same speed be the same as the Return Trip bearing in mind about the relative spin of the earth. I thought one would take a longer. How can one calculate this?
