I just watched the "meteor" video on the front page and it looks like no meteor or meteor shower I have ever seen.
In fact, it looks to me like the video of the breakup of the space shuttle Columbia.
They should pull it and issue an apology.
Anyone agree?

10x-(10/x^2) = 112 + 2/3

I posted this in question before and was told to multiply everything by 3x^2. I see the reasoning behind doing this, but how do you determine that 3x^2 was the right number for doing it? I'm sure it just wasn't a guess?

hdl's and ldl's both have a specific function in the body. when stressed the body sends adrenaline, and ldl's... to be sent to the limbs for fight or flight. and hdl to go and retrieve the cholestrol deposit and carry back to the liver. being we are in situations where we can not fight or flight, ldl deposits cholesterol in the arteries to use up. the hdl's can only carry so much, the rest settle in the arteries. this is how the body was meant to function. so once more, how can it be called, "good and bad" cholesterol?

object 1, mass 5.0 g, moves at a speed of 20 cm/s. It collides with object 2, with mass 10.0 g, moving at 12 cm/s in the same direction. After the collision, object 1 continues with a speed of 8.0 cm/s in the same direction.

How do you find the momentum and velocity of object 2 after the collision???

thanks. :]

All those massive glaciers n' ice are turning into now partial ice. If this rate continues, there will be no more arctic animals n' life. So my question is that why do individuals care more about their self-proclaimed fame n' possessions instead of the bigger picture?

Are we doomed? I hear the world will end in six years. If you look at Merlin and a few others we want last another few years. Yes there was a Merlin but a lot more that said the end was near. Global warming has just stepped up and said that 2012 the glaciers would melt.....that would mean NY would be under water.
La for sure.....Tokyo for sure. The bad thing is they say it doesn't mater what we do now...it is a done thing. We have used our trump card and the sky is falling.
