I am a Christian and I don't believe in evolution. I go to a public school, El Diamante high in Visalia to be exact, but I want to be excused from having to take the evolution course in Biology. Is there any way that I can be legitimately excused from it? Please help me!

I was listening to Ozzy real loud last night, and I was driving down past dead man's curve on Lee Road, and I saw a set of Devil eyes out my passenger side window, they were red and floating. Is there someone playing a trick on me. No one else was in my truck. What does this mean ?

When I was about 13 years old I was at football practice and while talking to a friend something caught my eye off in the horizon. It was a very clear day, about 5:00 PM and the sun was still up. About 1/4 mile away I see in plain sight what looked like a classic UFO. It was very plain. It looked like it was two tiers, kind of like a smaller pie pan on top of a larger pie pan. It was a very dull gun metal grey. The only light that I saw was a maroonish color that seemed to circle the bottom. I am usually a skeptic when it comes to things like this but I can not deny what I saw. There is no way that it was an airplane or helicopter. It hovered sideways for a few seconds and then in an instant it was gone. It drives me crazy that I had seen this because I feel a strong need for an explaination if it really was a craft from another world and I feel I will never know.

i have to perform an experiment in which i have tio determine the mass of a stick without a balance. here is the information given: the center of mass of the object is determined by balancing the object on a pivot or fulcrum. a triangular file or something with a thin edge works well for a pivot. the pivot can be supported by 2 cans of beans. mark the center of mass on the object.

Now place the object so that its center of mass is not over the pivot. suspend a known mass from the short end and move the mass until the object balances in a horizontal position.
Since all the mas of the stick can be considered to be at the center of mass, and since the clockwise and counter-clockwise torques are equal, (known weight)(d1)=(weight of stick)(d2)
for a known mass you could use a roll of nickels (20 g) or a peper cup with as many nickels as u want at 5.0 g per nickel.
now can someone please tell me how to setp up this experiment? i dont have anything at home for a pivot any suggestions?
