When I was about 13 years old I was at football practice and while talking to a friend something caught my eye off in the horizon. It was a very clear day, about 5:00 PM and the sun was still up. About 1/4 mile away I see in plain sight what looked like a classic UFO. It was very plain. It looked like it was two tiers, kind of like a smaller pie pan on top of a larger pie pan. It was a very dull gun metal grey. The only light that I saw was a maroonish color that seemed to circle the bottom. I am usually a skeptic when it comes to things like this but I can not deny what I saw. There is no way that it was an airplane or helicopter. It hovered sideways for a few seconds and then in an instant it was gone. It drives me crazy that I had seen this because I feel a strong need for an explaination if it really was a craft from another world and I feel I will never know.

I live 20 miles north of Pittsburgh as far as I know there are no government test areas. Pittsburgh Airport was not nearby, however there is a small airport close by but there is no way that this was an airplane. Mainly because it was saucer shaped and hovered sideways about 10 feet from the trees and was gone within an instant. It was no hallucination. To me there are only two explanations. The government has replicas of flying saucers that they happened to fly over a western PA town on that day or it came from some other galaxy
