If the farther you move a quark from its neighbors, the stronger the attraction becomes, what force accounts for this? And why is the interaction between quarks looser within protons than in neutrons and electrons? How is this all resolved when it is applied to anti-matter? Does quantum chromodynamics fully explain why there are no isolated observable individual quarks?

This question is related to NEC. Please answer if you have sufficient knowledge, i.e. if you are an electrician or contractor.

I live in the state of Maryland. I am having a new house built this month.

I wish to know the approximate location to install a grounding rod for (residential) 200 ampere services near the entry point of the house. I also want to know what the recommended gauge i.e. 8, 10, 12? for this rod.

I also want to know the requirement for Dual (two) 200 ampere service. I want to again know the approximate location to place the grounding rod from the wall of the house and also find the recommended gauge of the rod for this situation.

The reason I want to know this information is to verify that the builder building my house is placing the grounding rod according to code.

If you do not know how to answer my questions but can direct me to someone who might have an answer, that would be appreciated as well.

I know of one way whereby the hematocrit level is measured as a percentage of blood volume occupied by red blood cells. It is normally between 0.42 and 0.52 for males and between 0.36 and 0.48 for women. However, in a recent conversation with a hospital technician she expressed her hematocrit level as flucating between "8" and "10." Do these figures represent some type of conversion of the percentage value? I'm sure that she knew what she was talking about.

Thanks, Joe Conrad

Hi, I'm homeschooled, so I really have no way of figuring out what I'm doing wrong (since I have no teacher, and I've already surpassed my mother's knowledge of the subject).

Anyway, in chemistry I'm at the point of "completing and balancing combination reactions." Here's an example of a problem that I do not understand:

Be + O [sbscrpt2] ----> ? (I would have written simply BeO [sbscrpt2] because every atom on the left is also accounted for on the right, and I thought that that was all that's necessary.)

However, the book lists the answer as 2BeO. Where did the extra Be come from?

Thank you!!!

sometimes i feel like i had a life before mine.

Ever since i was little my mom has noticed my fascination with the past, i told her about things such as remembering being in an old church(living in one), living in old new york, like around the late 1800's, when i was around 11 i read "a tree grows in Brooklyn" and i could relate to everything she was talking about, almost nostalgically, like i already knew all those things, i grew up in New York and i love going into old buildings, looking at old pictures.

Does anyone else have these experiences, what do you do about them?
