sometimes i feel like i had a life before mine.

Ever since i was little my mom has noticed my fascination with the past, i told her about things such as remembering being in an old church(living in one), living in old new york, like around the late 1800's, when i was around 11 i read "a tree grows in Brooklyn" and i could relate to everything she was talking about, almost nostalgically, like i already knew all those things, i grew up in New York and i love going into old buildings, looking at old pictures.

Does anyone else have these experiences, what do you do about them?

Yes, as a child I had the same dream over and over of being a man, maybe Asian on a dark st looting I think and being shot...now, for a young girl that was enthralled w Cinderella and snow white that was strange. I don't dream that dream any longer though.

As an adult, I moved to the Adirondack Mountains in NY and totally felt like I had been there done that. 3 years later I got into genealogy and my grandmothers Grandma was from there, I located the old family plot surrounded by wrought iron...and there was my family from 1800's...In fact my grandmother and her grandmother shared the same first name, Georgianna...was strange to see. But right then I knew in my soul it was possible to be reincarnated.

That sounds so Kool! Really it does! I think it must be Great to have those kind of memory records? Not sure what to call them.

And I bet it's just like experiencing them all over again in this life. That sounds fun.

I've had a dream. Just one, and it only came once. I was in a very long dress, just over my shoes! And I lived in the basement of a mill.

Except that dream may have brought me to a point in my past life when I was no longer alive. I remember being very upset because all my dishes were covered in plaster dust!

And I was a good homemaker, that was what was upsetting me so much!

Then I was pacing up and down, and all of a sudden I wanted to get out of there bad enough that I did. The thick wooden doors opened.

Someone I loved was there waiting for me, hidden by a tree, but I could still see him in the moonlight.

I walked up to him, leaving the dark empty basement behind, and went into his arms.

The moonlight got brighter, and my dream ended.

What can we do with them? We can let them lead us to the answers in life much more clearly than if we had only one life to refer to.
Plus, they are comforting and exciting, warm, friendly, and Really Kool! Insightful, and eye opening. Enjoy them!

Hi Mindy, I've read a great deal about past lives, and have even had a psychic reading about my personal past lives. You may enjoy reading about the belief system of reincarnation. Its a fascinating idea. There are a number of interesting stories about the subject. The story of Bridie Murphy and Edgar Cayce comes to mind. Try googling the subject.
I personally no longer find past lives of interest. I've decided that one's focus is better spend on this life. We have our hands full just making this life work!!! lol. However, some folks claim that they are better able understand problems they are having in this life once they discover the alleged source of those problems from a previous life. There are many professionals that would be willing to do a hypnotic regression for you to access those lives in your subconscious mind. Be prepared though, the event is often quite traumatic. You can find many stories on line of regression experiences posted. Good luck!!

I do believe in past lives. I believe I have lived several of them. I believe I've lived in Italy, dark ages times and had 11 children. I believe I've lived on the British Isles several life times. I remember vividly being a young woman with long red hair standing on a balcony of an old white farm house and crying. I believe this was during the American civil war and I was waiting for my husband/brother/father to come home and had this terrible feeling that he wasn't ever going to come home. The most recent memory I have is from the 1920's flapper era. I believe I was murdered in a hotel by my jealous husband/lover.

Its interesting stuff none-the-less.

Hi Mandy. i think that we spend most of the time day-dreaming to an extent that we are not able to differenciate "visions" from just mere inquisitions. our minds wonder a lot. i too have felt like i have been someplace yet i know its not possible. for example, i would just see a house or street on tv, especially movies and imaged myself there soo much that after a while, it feels like i have actually been there and done whatever i had dreamt of doing in that place.

its just that i dont see the reason for us to believe in reincaination when we dont all get to remeber what happend in the life before. then what lesson are we learning???

i should be able to remember how it felt like to be poor or rich, so that i know what do perfect in the current life...then, eventually, there would be no more problems that persist in our lives today. porvety should be reducing, all these fightings should not be there any more as we all know the results they cause.

what do you think.....

I most certainly do believe in past lives experience, and have had a number of experiences with them, from feeling like I had been to someplace before, to having known a person in the past, even to sharing a love for something that one of my relatives had. I guess the reason I believe this way in that I do not believe that at death, our souls go to the trash help. I believe there is a certain "memory" that our souls pass on into our next.life. I believe we have lived before this present life and will continue to evolve until God finishes with us when ever that may be. So our life does not end with death, but keeps on evolving to a state of greater perfection.

I sure do. I have had similar fascinations with various periods of time going back to the Romans. Certain things that I read or see seem to trigger memories of past lives. It was particularly strong fora 10 year period when I was with my soul mate. I felt that we had known each other for more than our natural lives. We have since parted for reasons beyond either of our control but I'm still very connected to her and our shared past.

Then you probably were there in another life. I believe in them. I think that parts of history that really intrigue you and that you are so fascinated with that you want to read & learn everything about... you were once there, in a past life. But thats just my thoughts. Try contacting a past life specialist. They are out there, and they can do a past life regression. You may be surprised to see what happens. Best of luck to you.

I myself don't beleive but i think it is just part of your brain that's tricking you into believing such things. Your brain is having a deja vu. this phenomenon is created in your mind when you think of something or see something. The right side of your brain resieves the image before your left making your left side (the smart side) think it's seen it before. that combined with a little superticious belief can really get you outta whack. after all some people do believe and i respect that.

I think so. Ever since I was little I was fascinated with China, and Buddhist monks. Weird for a little girl right? One night (I am a sleepwalker) when I was about 5 my mom said that she came into the bathroom and saw me leaning over the side of the bathtub in my sleep, with a bar of soap and ALL of my socks. She said she asked me what I was doing and I told her washing the socks. I washed all of the socks with a bar of soap, hung them over the side of the tub to dry and went back to bed. This is weird because we had a washing machine and I saw my mother use it all the time. There could be something worth looking into there.
