Show that in the equation
x^(m) = a^(n) - b^(n)
where m>2 & n>2 & m =/= n It is imposible to find the coprime values of "x" , "a" & "b".It is not Fermats last theorem but more generalised form of Fermats last theorem.

Hello everyone

I have a 110V hardware plugged in at home (we use 220V) by way of a step down transformer and I was wondering if transformers 'use' more power than usual. I don't want a nasty electircal bill.

Because even when the hardware is 'off', the transformer itself is still on. It still hums. I am wondering if the transformer is constantly pulling power out of the wall socket 24/7 if I leave it on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Could someone please solve the following equation for x, showing all steps?

0 = 3(e^3x) - 2(e^-2x)

Note: The final answer should be (1/5)(ln(2/3)), but I'm not sure how you get there.

I have tried to get some help w/ this problem from other people
but no one has helped me out yet.

Suppose that for each irrational p, an equilateral triangle T_p
(including its interior) is constructed in the plane with one vertex
at (p,0) and its opposite side above and parallel to the x-axis.
Prove that Union{T_p:p in P} (P: irrationals) must contain a rectangle of the form [a,b] x (0,1/k] for some a, b in R and
some k in N.
In the hypothesis, we could weaken “equilateral” to read “ ... ” ?
(Hint: Consider N_k = { p in P : T_p has height >= 1/k })

Thank you.

two brothers, martin and morris are in their backyard. morris is taking down a wall on one side while martin is building a wall on the other side. martin starts from scratch and lays 2 bricks every minute. meanwhile, morrir takes down 3 bricks each minute from the wall. it takes morris 55 minutes to finish tearing down his wall.

i've figured out the rule for martin and its y=0+2x (y being the amount of bricks and x being the minutes) but i can't figure out the rule for morris! help please?

We all know that it takes for ever to reach outer worlds and that we have been sending all kinds of waves ever since our scientific knowlege was developed, but it's just not fast enough to investigate other worlds. Can we send any kinds of waves faster than the speed of light or will we ever be able. Is anyone contracticting Mr. Enstein on this subject?

A car shoots up a ramp at 179m/s. The ramp is 400m long and is angled at 45 degrees. The coefficient of friction between the car and the ramp is 0.5. A) How fast is the car moving at the end of the ramp? B) How much time does it take to travel the length of the ramp? C) Imagine that the car starts up the ramp at a speed less than 179m/s. What is the minimum speed the car could have and still exit the ramp?

Thank you soooo much for helping me :-)!! I really appreciate it.
