sulfuric acid
Sulfuric acid is sometimes referred to as the “king of chemicals” because it is produced worldwide in such large quantities. In fact, per capita use of sulfuric acid has been taken as one index of the technical development of a country. Annual production in the United States, which is the world's leading producer, is well over 39 billion kilograms (85 billion pounds).
These days, sulfuric acid is the king of chemicals, the big enchilada, numero uno. In other words, more sulfuric acid is produced than any other chemical in the world. Not bad, for something that came out of the dung-heap.

Elvis. Just watch that movie, "Elvis and Me". Guy was on so many chemicals near the end of his life, he would probably set one of those pH sticks on fire.
