A bus company in a small town has an average number of riders of 1,000 per day. The bus company charges $2.00 for a ride. The conducted a survey of their customers and found that they will lose approxinately 50 customers per day for each $.25 increase in fare. Given the description above, graph the function, identify the graph of the function, find the slope of the graph, find the price at which there will be no more riders, and find the maximun number of riders possible. The vertical axis is the number of riders per day, and the horizontal axis is the fare. The bus company has determined that even if they set the price very low, there is a maximum number of riders permitted each day. If the price is $0 (free), how many riders are permitted each day? If the bus company sets the price too high, no one will be willing to ride the bus. Beginning at what ticket price will no one be willing to ride the bus?

A helium balloon floats inside a motor-car whose windows are closed, and which moves in a straight line at constant speed. How will the balloon be affected if the car tuns to the left at constant speed?
(i) moves to the left, (ii) moves to the right, (iii) moves straight ahead, (iv) remains stationary.
Please consider the following cases: (a) the balloon is touching the car's roof, (b) the balloon does not make any contact with the car as it floats (a small weight keeps it from rising all the way to the roof.)
A brief explanation will be greatly appreciated.

Theoretically, imagine a hole is to be drilled right through the centre of the Earth and right through to the other side. A heatproof casing is in place to stop collapse. If someone on one side of the Earth were to fall into the hole, where would they stop? Since someone falling in the other side would also fall downwards, does this mean that there is a point of gravitational freefall in the centre of the Earth's core?

Of all of the organs in the human body, the only ones that are completely outside are the testicles. This does not seem to make any sense, unless evolution had women's self-defense programs, like model mugging, in mind. Is there a biological reason for this, or is God just a feminist?
