I recently read an article that said astronauts aboard the ISS had repaired a faulty oxygen generator. Does anyone know how these work?

Energy must be (added to or given off) by the electron when it moves to an orbital closer to the nucleus.

What two assumptions enable us to draw more complex atoms of the pattern of the hydrogen energy levels?

Thanks!

How do you find the Spring Constant from these variables?

Mass is .4 kilograms
the distance stretched from rest is .012 meters (also the height)
Use the normal Gravitational constant, 9.81.

Do you find the Gravitational Potential energy first to compensate for the Potential energy elastic or what?

A 1900 kg pile driver is used to drive a steel I-beam into the ground. The pile driver falls 4.00 m before coming into contact with the top of the beam, and it drives the beam 11.0 cm farther into the ground before coming to rest. Using energy considerations, calculate the average force the beam exerts on the pile driver while the pile driver is brought to rest.

The temperature in central Indiana has been decreasing, but it does keep darting back up every now and then. I've heard many mentions of snow and know that it has lightly touched the north of the state already, but when is it expected in Indianapolis? (Source please)

You plant a 14 inch Spruce Tree that grows 4 inches per year and an 8 inch hemlock tree that grows 6 inches per year. After how many years will the trees be the same height? How tall will each be?
Please explain this to me, I don't know how to write a linear system with this.
I've come up with 14 + 4x = (dunno) and 8 + 6x(should it be a y?) = (dunno) Anyone help please?

A 65.0 kg person, running horizontally with a velocity of +3.68 m/s, jumps onto a 12.2 kg sled that is initially at rest.

(a) Ignoring the effects of friction during the collision, find the velocity of the sled and person as they move away.
I got this right with 3.1 m/s

(b) The sled and person coast 30.0 m on level snow before coming to rest. What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between the sled and the snow?

I've gotten different answes... .016, .16, .02, .4.... all those are incorrect.

What am I doing wrong in this problem? I cannot figure it out and it's frustrating me.

I need to solve these 2 questions:

1. Find the solution to the following diff. equation
(x+y)dy/dx + y = 0
the answer should be y^2+2xy=C

2. Wich is the solution to the following differential equation?
dy/dx - (1/x)y = -xy^2
the answer should be x/(2x^2 + C)

I tried working them according to what the book shows me but get stuck. I used Q(x)= -x P(x)= -1/x
let n = 2

Who can help?
