Ex: One has to believe something to produce a hypothesis, the hypothesis provides an artificial framework (paradigm). Tests are made within this paradigm to further the hypothesis to theory or to dis regard it. Back to the beginning, the hypothesis was based on a belief-bias that something should "work" a certain way. The logos was built upon that frame work so therefore isn't science a belief system almost comparable to religion.

I am trying to write a program using FORTRAN to solve the following CFD problem:

du/dt = alpha * ( d^2u/dx^2 + d^2u/dy^2 )

using the 3 methods mentioned above. I would like to know what is the characteristics of each method used under the same circumstances by making comparison among them.

Also, the program that I have written shows the longest time for FTCS method to be calculated compared to the others. FTCS being the simplest method among the 3 methods, but how come it takes longer?

Can anybody help...?

I am living in Italy for a semester. I bought a bottle of Absolut Vodka from the supermarket yesterday, put it in the freezer like I always do, and when I opened up my freezer the vodka in the bottle was frozen almost completely solid, I'd say at least 95% frozen. I was under the impression that it was impossible for hard liquor to freeze, and have never seen it happen before. What gives?!
