Last spring, I looked out the window and saw a nest on the ground, it appeared to have fallen out of a tree. Soon, I saw a robin fly down to the nest and begin picking at it rather frantically. Finally, the robin picked a moving object the size of a baby bird and flew away. Most people tell me this never happens, but a 98 year old woman tells me, yes, birds can pick up their young. Has anyone else ever seen this happen?

A 6.5 kg particle starts from rest a x = o and moves under the influence of a single force
Fx = 6.1 + 7.6x - 1.1x^2, and Fx is n Newtons and x is in meters.

Find the power delivered to the particle when it is at x = 2.2m. answer in W.

Find the work done by this force on the particle as the particle moves from x = o m to x = 2.2m. answer in J.

Keep getting different answers. Would the work done equal the change in kinetic energy? Then how would I find the power delivered?

Ok I have a question...you don't need to answer but just help me understand it please; it's confusing and I'm wasting too much:

A destroyer is moving due north at 8.5 metres/second when a depth charge is catapulted off the side of the ship in a direction (North 35 degrees East) relative to the deck of the ship. What is the velocity of the depth charge relative to the water if the speed relative to the deck is 28 metres/second?

Ok, what the heck do they mean by destroyer? Also, they want the velocity of the depth charge...what's a depth charge?
If you guys could please just help explain this question, you'd be a really big help. Thanks

The first,"TACOMA NARROWS BRIDGE", just "two lanes", known around the entire world now as"GALLOPPING GERDIE".
The man who had the money to ,"insure", the first bridge, put the money in his pocket, as he was so sure the engineers had designed the perfect bridge.
Well obviously they hadn't.
The engineers did not design a way for the ,"strong winds", which are common in the ,"NARROWS STRAIGHT", to ,"flow through the decks". So the bridge went down in the first major storm it faced.
The new," NARROWS BRIDGE", has no ,"grated decks", or whatever.
I spoke to one of the, "foremen", on the westside, you know, just mentioned it to him.
I was making a delivery.
Anyway, he assured me, it would be a real big ,"boo-boo", (that was his terminology) and that ,"Engineers", had been designing the bride for many years...
So who can tell me...WHERE IS THE AIRFLOW, supposed to go, if not through the DECKS of the new BRIDGE???
Preferrably someone who knows about engineering.
T.Y.
