Checking the numbers left to right you have:
It's (-8) > (3)? No, so (-8) keeps its place;
(3) > (29)? No, so (3) keeps its place;
(29) > (6)? Yes, so they change their places (-8, 3, 6, 29, -16, -47)
(29) > (-16)? Yes, so they change their places (-8, 3, 6, -16, 29, -47)
(29) > (-47)? Yes, so they change their places (-8, 3, 6, -16, -47, 29)
And we start again:
-8, 3, 6, -16, -47, 29
-8, 3, -16, 6, -47, 29
-8, 3, -16, -47, 6, 29, and again
-8, -16, 3, -47, 6, 29
-8, -16, -47, 3, 6, 29, and again
-16, -8, -47, 3, 6, 29
-16, -47, -8, 3, 6, 29, and again
-47, -16, -8, 3, 6, 29 And the numbers are in an ascending order!

you could simplify through replacing the fractions into decimals through branch. In fractions, more suitable adverse numbers are a lot less or smaller than the smaller adverse numbers (same as -3 is lower than -2 and also lesser than -a million). So, -2/3 is -0.6666; 5/8 is 0.6250; a million/8 is 0.1250; -4/9 is -0.4444; 4/7 is 0.5214. So the ascending order will be: -2/3, -4/9, a million/8, 4/7, 5/8.
