If the earth had grown any bigger it would have been to close to the sun and would be too hot, if it had been any smaller it would have been too far from the sun and would have been too cold. What made it stop growing

... wiring, the battery and a mirriad of other bibs and bobs within the phones internals (all developed by different people) had to be in place before Mr. Bell could even consider designing and producing the first and (most importantly) the second one.

So to re-itterate; invention or innovation??

I also need to know why and I need a fact that doesn't nessessarily but probably supports your answer from an encyclopedia, a newspaper, a book, a magazine, and an internet site. I already have a fact from a book, but nothing else. Thanks for your help!

A block starts from rest at a height of 5 m on a fixed inclined plane. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8. What is the speed of the block at the bottom of the ramp? Answer in units of m/s.
Data:
The angle of inclination of the plane is 25 degrees and the coefficient of sliding friction between the plane and the block is 0.1. The mass of the block is 4.8 kg.

Please give me the process.

Since the birth of my son two years ago I seem to have lost the ability to think outside of the box. When something doesn't go as planned I am stumped. Prior to pregnancy alternatives automatically came to mind whereas nowadays they don't and worse still, if I do actually remember (and by the way, where has my memory gone?) to try and think of an alternative, I can't. Decision-making is a nightmare too, I just dither. Sometimes decision making with a tetchy two year old in tow is difficult and I accept as a mum that I can often be preoccupied which doesn't help but is there anything that I can do to get my brain back to how it was?
I'm going to put this in the science section rather than the pregnancy one because I'd really like to know the science behind this. (Always assuming that there is some!).

Q2)To get a feeling for the size of cells and to practice the use if the metric system, consider the following:

a)the human brain weighs about 1Kg and contain about 10^11 cells. Calculate the average size of a brain cell(although we know that their size vary widly)?

b) Assuming that each cell is entirely filled with water (1 cm^3 of water weighs 1g). what would be the length of one side average-size brain cell if it were a simple cube?

C) if the cell were spread out as a thin layer that is only a single cell thick, how many pages of your cell biology textbook would this layer cover?
