I live in a very tiny village in a remote area north of the Arctic Circle. Sometimes we see these triangles of light floating in the sky. Do you see them where you are? What are they?

To begin with, I'm not an astronomy major, and I know there are many other factors I should take into account when asking these general questions...

Does a star's life end at the stage of a blackhole instead of recycling itself to become a new star? Would the universe eventually run out of matter?

If the number of blackholes only increase, what theories have been proposed to predict what would happen? Is that a reason for the theory of a Big Crunch of the universe?

THANKS :)
