Ever since I was young, I was always amazed with how everything worked, and how they came to existence. I enjoyed science, I would go to the library and pick up books so that I could do experiments. When I was young I always dreamed of becomming an engineer. As time passed, my passion for science went down the drain. I missed the bus containing the spectrum of knowledge in high school. I became lazy. Then, I disliked math and science with a passion. Now, that I've graduated High School doing the bare minimum...I am attending a junior college. My major is undecided. To get to the point, I've been reading up more on engineering and I think the life is appealing. I want to make a difference in the world, I want to research, learn, develop, change. So in retrospect, according to what I've made note about so far, do you think engineering is right for me? Can I become an engineer? I'm willing to reach my potential, even though I am limited in the maths and sciences :|

1. A bag contains 5 balls. Two balls are drawn without replacement and are found to be white. What is the probability that the bag contains 5 white balls? I know this is to be solved using Baye's therorem but i just can't define the events.

2. In how many ways can r flags of different colours be displayed on m poles (r may be <, > or =m)when there is no restriction on the number of flags that can be hoisted on one pole (i.e. it may range from 0 to r). What if each pole must have at least one flag (here r>= m).

Please show the steps of your solution.

He was so down to earth and humorous. His love for animals was amazing and he will be leaving his wife and children behind. I almost feel like I knew him and was just listening to him joking around. It tugs at my heart to hear him go so young.

It's output must be electrical.

Part of the electrical output will go to a solenoid, that by opening or closing, adjusts the vacuumn advance on a car - which in turn adjusts the timing. The other part of the electrical output will go to a different solenoid, that adjusts the air-fuel ratio in an old fashioned carberator.

The object of this is to turn my 1963 Volkswaqgen Beetle into a fuel flex car, that can run off any combination of acohol or gasoline. The alcohol will come from a moonshine still.

Calibration of the timing and air-fuel ratio mix, will be done by using gasoline as the zero reference point. Since plans on the internet exist for making my car run off PURE ALCOHOL, then the air-fuel ratio and timing for alcohol , will be used as the high end reference point. Mixtures of gasoline and alcohol, as determined by the sensor, will be used to adjust the engine for variations in-between.

A battery of E.M.F. & internal resistance 2 ohm is connected to a resistor of 100 ohm resistance through an ammemeter. The resistance of the ammemeter is 4/3 ohm; a voltmeter has also been connected to find the PD across the resistor.
(i) If the ammemeter reads 0.02amp,what is resistance of the voltmeter.
(ii)If the voltmeter reads 1.10V,what is the error in the reading.

assume we could find earthlike planets around other stars, and know we could live there, and assume we could build giant spaceships that could cross the distance in manty years, maybe centuries, and these ship could take many "colonists" with every thing needed to live on the ship for the time needed, and to make the target planet earthlike, would you embark on this one way journey, knowing that you'll live the rest of your life on a crowded spaceship where space around you could be dangerous, and once the ship gets to the other planet, it is not certain that an earth colony could be established

i know that the acceleration due to gravity is around 9.8 m/s2. but can anyone think of an experiment to prove it? maybe something like use a ball and let it fall to measure the speed? pls dont give me complicated experiment that gives me accurate value, i just need a simple experiment that gives me a rough value of around 9.8.
please describe the experiment fully, thanks
