Theoretically one can never go the speed of sound...according to one of Einstien's theories if one goes into a car, or any device and travles at the speed of light your bodies electrons would seperate each and everyone of them your body would not be capable of handeling such forces because we ourselves are just blobs of energy. thus you would explode (to put in in simple terms) Here is an interesting tidbit, if you speed up film to as fast as it would go (no not just the rewind button on your vcr) you would see the humans in it as light.

"If you're in a vehicle going the speed of light, ..."
I know you can say this in English, and it is gramatically correct, but really, it makes no sense when speaking about the real world. It is truly a nonsense statement. No material thing can travel at the speed of light. You can get arbitrarily close to that speed, but you can never reach it. Like a rainbow, as close as you try to get to it, the farther it recedes from you. But it is interesting to find out why it is a nonsense statement, and thinking about it is the first step in finding this out. Good luck....think interesting thoughts!

you can approach light speed but u can not go as fast as light. time slows down. if u were to travel at near light speed for say 2years 1 out 1back your atomic clock on board would read just that but on earth many years will of past ; your friends will have grown old while you only aged 2 years

Your mass would become infinite, compared to objects around you.
Time would stop for you, compared to objects around you.
It would take infinite power to accelerate any faster.
This is what the equations tell us.
Experimentally, a proton at 90% C (light speed) has twice the mass of a proton at rest, time is 1/2 relatively, it takes twice as much power to accelerate it any faster.

IF a person COULD go the speed of light, it still wouldn't satisfy a man's need for speed. heh

First of all, mind the keys you are pressing in the keyboard while typing.
Secondly, tell me,do u exist in the world of imagination? good. but this question is very irrelevant from the science of real world. Even if such happenned, we won't have been humans-but-aliens(such a species who can survive in such velocity).
