In answer to the question, "How long will you be dead after you die?", the logical answer is "forever". So my question is, "How long were you not alive before you born?"

If the answer is also "forever", then obviously you would have never been born. In my mind, this points out the fallacy of linear time: that time has a beginning and an end. On the other hand, I only remotely grasped the basics of high school physics and never went to college, so I could be missing something very obvious.

Yet somehow I see a gap between what we humans understand as knowledge, and what knowledge itself is. One way to pose that question is, "What is the relationship between reality and the human interpretation of reality?" Is there any difference at all?

So, if and when string theory explains everything, will it be able to explain why human consciousness knows it explains everything?

There is a state, shaped somewhat like a guy's thing, that hangs off the southeastern U.S. and was given the name "Florida" by the Spaniards back when it included southern Alabama & Mississippi. But what's really amazing is that anybody inhabits it because every year, they get 1-4 hurricanes (plus more tropical storms). More laughable than this is its nickname -- The Sunshine State! Hah! The Hurricane State is what the other 49 call it. Who in his right mind would give up life in another state to reside on this low-lying, hurricane-prone peninsula where it never even gets cold on Christmas?

The earths core is filled up with hot & liquid plasma which some times comes out through volcanos. The solid crust is divided into several plates & are floating on the liquid core which some times collide with each other & hence earth quake happens. What about the cores of the other planets?

as a woman i understand that it can be kind of difficult to get into a carreer that is male dominated but i like the challenge. I am interested to go to a good college such as cornell university or carnegie mellon and would like to know if anyone has any advice to give me.
