I am perplexed with complexity in design of so many living beings. My question is does the DNA of any animal/living being has intelligence or logic that senses the changes in surrounding and decides it need to change itself to survive?. Or its only thru random mutations in DNA that happen with time, some mutations luckily help the living being survive the changes and then this new modified DNA goes to next generation. So in this away only mutations in DNA that make it robust are carried to next generations. So please clarify how evolution happens using whether the first scenario(DNA has intelligence) or the second scenario(random mutations).

My sister "discovered" an aquatic creature while snorkeling in St John USVI - it looked exactly like a ribbon. We have never been able to find a picture, but it was about the size of the palm of your hand, and was red, and wavy like a ribbon... any ideas? Thanks!

The Highland Company is a retailer that sells microwave ovens. The company wants
to model its demand for microwaves over the next 12 years. Using historical data as
a guide, it assumes that demand in year 1 is normally distributed with mean 5000 and
standard deviation 1500. It assumes that demand in every subsequent year is
normally distributed with mean equal to the actual demand from the previous year
and standard deviation 1500.
Construct and analyze a spreadsheet model for microwave oven demand over the
next 12 years. Investigate the ramifications of this model, and suggest models that
might be more realistic.

Archimedes supposedly used the water-displacement method to establish the volume displaced by the crown, but wouldn't the volume be the same for either a silver/gold crown and a solid gold crown? How could he distinguish the two?

When I told my grandpa that I am gonna divide 25% of the property shares amongst 5 of us brothers, getting each of us 1/5th of the property, he said I am cheating him.... 1/5th (ie. if we divide 25 with 5) of 25 is not 5 but 14!!!!! Though it was a shock to me, as I was thinking so far that I am very good in maths, but the possibility of getting the answer he said gave a new direction to me, though I know it is wrong.... So my good friends, why don't you try dividing 25 with 5 and get the result 14?
