what in their sense is VLSI(very large scale integration,huh??)so,what exactly is their job related to??how do they develop a software inorder to model hardware??

a sandwich engineer is a subway worker. They make sandwiches for the mass public.

I've never heard the term 'sandwitch' engineer applying to someone doing VLSI. VLSI essentially means that you are designing a circuit with alot of transistors. Software that models this hardware takes a long time to make, but fortunately people, typically at universities, have done this and continue to do this.
